Conductive translucent paint

The Conductive translucent paint is a single component permanently conductive hybrid clear acrylic coating which provides effective static elimination for electronics safe handling areas and explosive atmosphere applications.

Fully compliant with BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 and ATEX. Contains carbon nanotubes and graphene derivative.

Applications in lighting, windows, clear covers and lids, displays etc. Supplied as an aerosol for ease of application.

Physical properties

Surface Preparation

All contaminants must be removed from the surface. Mark areas that do not require coating. A suitable primer may be necessary on certain substrates such as Polyethylene and Polypropylene. Please contact us for a suitable primer.

Application

One or two passes are normally required to give optimum thickness and surface resistivity values depending on the degree of translucency is required.

Supplied as a 400 ml aerosol and available as 1 liter can.

Precautions

Highly flammable - Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. Keep all containers closed when not in use.

Use under well ventilated conditions, personal respiratory protection should be worn during spraying conditions. Such devices must be used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

Avoid contact with skin, wear protective gloves and clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after use. If accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice.

Notice:

This translucent paint can be used for double curved applications  where a bendable foil is not possible. For foils pls look at the transparent EMI/RFI-shielding foil 9900 or for lower frequencies the meshfoil 9000-9300.
