Transparent Faraday Room™

Transparent TEMPEST-ready shielded room for Electromagnetically Quiet Environments
An electromagnetically shielded environment does not have to be a closed metal box.
Holland Shielding Systems designs and manufactures the Transparent Faraday Room™, a transparent electromagnetic shielding room for TEMPEST applications where electromagnetic control, confidentiality, visibility, and usability must work together.
Each Transparent Faraday Room™ is engineered as one complete electromagnetic shielding system. Shielded glass, frames, and doors form the core of the enclosure. Optional ventilation, power and data interfaces, cable penetrations, grounding, filters, waveguides, and other conductive connections can be integrated where required by the application.
The result is a modern, practical transparent shielded room designed to reduce electromagnetic emissions and unwanted wireless signal transmission while maintaining daylight and visibility.
Key Benefits of the Transparent Faraday Room™
The Transparent Faraday Room™ is configured around the application, available space, required electromagnetic shielding performance, and project requirements.
Electromagnetic isolation
Helps reduce electromagnetic signal transmission and potential wireless leakage paths, including frequencies used by mobile communication, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Configurable performance
Dimensions, shielding components, and electromagnetic performance can be adapted to the specific project requirements.
Acoustic comfort
Provides acoustic sound reduction, supporting confidential conversations and a more focused working environment.
Daylight & transparency
Creates a secure environment while maintaining natural light, visibility, and connection with the surrounding workspace.
Modular & standalone
Can be installed inside existing buildings, making it suitable for retrofit projects with limited modifications to the existing structure.
TEMPEST-ready
The room can be used to improve your current zoning result (SDIP 28/3) and can be configured to comply with SDIP 29/3.
Configured Around Your Shielding Requirements
We review the application, available space, required shielding performance, and optional technical interfaces. Based on these requirements, the Transparent Faraday Room™ is configured as a modular transparent electromagnetic shielding system.
The application defines the configuration. Example room sizes provide a useful reference, but they are not fixed limitations.
Small Transparent Faraday Room™ configuration
A compact reference configuration for individual work, consultations, or applications where available floor space is limited.
Medium Transparent Faraday Room™ configuration
A reference configuration for meetings, collaborative work, and secure environments requiring additional interior space.
Large Transparent Faraday Room™ configuration
A larger reference configuration for multiple users, secure meetings, technical equipment, or project-specific layouts.
One Complete Electromagnetic Shielding System
The shielding effectiveness of a Transparent Faraday Room™ is not determined by the shielded glass alone. Every opening, connection, joint, and technical interface can influence the final electromagnetic shielding performance.
Shielded glass, frames, and doors form the core of the Transparent Faraday Room™. Optional ventilation, power and data interfaces, cable penetrations, EMI filters, waveguides, grounding, and other conductive connections can be integrated where required.
These elements must work together across the electromagnetic shielding boundary. A weak joint, penetration, connection, or installation detail can influence the performance of the complete room.
Holland Shielding Systems combines the required components into a project-specific shielding concept. Where required, the completed Transparent Faraday Room™ can be evaluated using agreed shielding effectiveness measurement and verification methods.
